When the Coronavirus pandemic hit, unemployment rates in Australia rose from just above 5% to over 7.5 percent. Once lockdowns ended and restrictions eased the rates dropped to 3.9%. But there are still massive improvements to be made. Bezrobittya aims to increase awareness on unemployment in Australia and across the world. The name, Bezrobittya is a Ukrainian word, meaning "stop unemployment"
